our new bedroom set just got delivered. i love the design and color of the wood =)

unfortunately, we don't have any cal king-sized sheets (we have all queen-sized bedding). i guess peter and i will just have to do a little shopping when he gets home from work.

with the new furniture, we now have an actual spare bedroom upstairs

with a bed to sleep in and everything!

Peter's been itching to use our lawnmower. We have sod but it'll be about 3 more weeks before the grass gets rooted down and we can mow. But this morning, Peter mowed our friend's mom's lawn who's house is about a block away.

He did really well for his first time, and he was able to practice maneuvering the mower around some tight spots. This afternoon, we were taking our (almost daily) walk around the neighborhood and kept passing by lots with really cool rocks. We've been wanting to do some landscaping and we thought these rocks would look great in our yard. Alot of them had fossils of shells, and others were large pieces of slate. So we ended up taking my truck and the handtruck to one of these lots and picked up a truckfull of rocks. One of the slate pieces was so big, Peter put in on the handtruck and then he sat on the tailgate of the truck dragging the handtruck along while I drove us home. Good thing it was only a couple of blocks away! I was so afraid he'd fall off that I had the 4way blinkers on the whole time and barely drove 2mph. Suffice it to say, I got Peter (and all the rocks) home safely.

we scattered some of them in front of the porch, but had so many rocks, we couldn't quite figure out what to do with all them.

so now the pathway to the house is lined with rocks. looks pretty cool, eh?

Pics of that grass

We've got the start of a lawn...

Almost looks like somebody lives here!!!

There's Janey watering the front lawn.

The Lawn Ranger is getting ready to ride...

Of course I couldn't leave it alone. MOMO Air Race Leather shift knob on the gear selector. It's in 4'th right now.

Rolled Grass...

Yesterday we finally got Sod. Thank god we took the time to move it last night...

Pictures will be added later...

Janey and I had an Idea... Since we wanted a patio near the house, why let the sod sit there just to be torn back up when it is time for the patio... So we moved it and made room for our patio. We also thought a path from the Garage "service door" to the patio was in order, so we moved sod from that area too. All in all, I think that we moved over 2000ft^2 yesterday afternoon. I also seeded close to 30000ft^2 with Kentuky bluegrass. Today it is raining like you wouldn't believe. My boss dang near got hit by lightning on his way in this morning. It hit like 8ft from his car! I hope all our grass seed doesn't get washed away... I would hate to have to buy more seed.

Janey's gonna kill me dead...

Yesterday we got a bit foolish.

This ride-on mower was by the side of the road with a for-sale sign on it.

Follow along in your best Tim Allen impression...

Also, yesterday, I finally installed the Garage opener. Nice and smooth.

Last week, we moved this tree from the frontyard to the backyard.

This is where that tree had come from. It wasn't even on our side of the property line.

We had also moved this bush from right in front of the downspout, to a bit more in the middle of the mulch bed.

Fans, everywhere you look!

New ceiling fan in the bedroom

One in the spare bedroom, too

The craft room is next.

There's the fan, in the box, waiting to go up.

New furniture...

We got a new couch...

and I finally put together the nesting tables we bought at BB&B in September...

That meant we had to move the old Futon from the living room up to Jane's study/craft room.

There had been a couch up there, so we had to move THAT one down to the

Office

I had to sit down after all that...
